Gerard Saint-Cyr, also known as Jerry, was born in Quebec City and began his career in flavors and fragrances in Montreal and Toronto. Since his late teens, he has been intrigued with wine. He harvested grapes in Switzerland, visited vineyards, and attended wine tastings in numerous other European countries, Asia, Canada, Australia and the United States. After several years abroad, he moved to the United States where he studied and taught wine theory and worked for a time as an independent wine broker. He holds four wine certificates from the United States and Switzerland. His first book about wine, My Wine Guide (made simple), is now available on Amazon.com and the Kindle app, and he has plans to offer more wine courses in the near future. He continues to attend wine tastings and constantly reads about God's nectar. He lives in New Jersey about one mile from the Atlantic Ocean and occasionally sips a glass or two of fine wine while enjoying a glorious beach sunset.
